A client shared this, and it hit me harder than I expected. Here's why...

This one made me emotional.

This week’s blog is a little different.

It’s not about markets or tax or super.

It’s about something more real.

A few days ago, I received a testimonial from one of our Wealth Gym members.

A single mum who’s been showing up, doing the work, and turning her finances (and her mindset) around.

I haven’t even shared it with the team yet.

When I read it, I felt genuinely emotional. It hit me in a way I didn’t expect.

Not because of the words, but because of what they meant.

It made me stop and reflect on the hundreds of hours we’ve poured into building Wealth Gym.

Not as a place for quick wins, but as something that could help fix the past just as much as it builds the future.

I thought of her son.

And how he’ll grow up seeing a parent with structure, confidence, and habits that will shape his own relationship with money.

And that’s the real win.

That’s why we do this.

Here’s a snippet from what she shared:

“I used to believe I couldn’t break my poor spending habits or achieve meaningful financial goals—but James proved otherwise. Through coaching, accountability and understanding my patterns, I’ve built new, healthier financial habits. He doesn’t just offer advice—he empowers you with the mindset and tools to grow wealth in a way that feels achievable and authentic.”

That testimonial wasn’t about me.

It was about what’s possible when someone decides they’ve had enough of staying stuck.

So if you or someone you love is feeling lost, tired of making the same money mistakes, and unsure what to do next…

There is hope.

But there’s no shortcut.

You’ve got to be willing to do the work.

Here are two small steps that can make a big difference:

1. Sit down and set some goals.

Start small. Write them down. They don’t need to be perfect, just honest.

2. Build structure and automate.

Consistency builds confidence. Discipline builds momentum.

It’s just like going to the gym: the more reps you do, the stronger you feel.

Wealth Gym isn’t just about saving more or investing better.

It’s about changing the story you tell yourself about money and building a life that actually feels right.

Thanks for reading this far.
